The Canal de la Deûle is a canal in northern France connecting Bauvin to the Belgian border near Deûlémont. It is 35.8 km with 3 locks. It may also be called the ''liaison Bauvin-Lys''. South of Bauvin, the canal continues as part of the Canal Dunkerque-Escaut until it reaches Douai. Parts of the Deule were made navigatible as early as the 13th century. It was linked with the Scarpe in the 17th century and the Lys river in the 18th. ==En route==
